Suppose you were coaching an individual who was new to a dysfunctional organization and in a role of authority. For the sake of illustration, let’s assume they have legitimate power, but not much else in terms of power and influence. They’ve been told they have a year to “turn things around.”
Based on your reading and research, how would you recommend they increase their ability to gain power, influence, and the ability to motivate in such a short period of time?
