Midterm Project OVERVIEW For the midterm project, you are required to develop a presentation with speaker notes and a spreadsheet that summarizes the computer system resources needed for your selected company in order to compete within the identified industry. C

GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS The midterm project is an extension of your application assignments in Modules 1 and 2, in which you have identified the office-based environment and key hardware and storage considerations. Like application assignments, one purpose of this midterm project is for you to demonstrate your knowledge of and skills in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and

PowerPoint. If you are not familiar with these applications, take the time to watch the video tutorials on Microsoft Office that are available under Study Materials of modules 2 and 3. Pay particular attention to highlighted Excel and PowerPoint tutorials required for this midterm project. For

the midterm project, assuming you will make recommendations of office application and computer hardware to your selected firm in the application assignments, create a slide presentation with the following requirements. ● Your presentation should include six to eight slides that incorporate graphics. ● Each slide should include speaker notes to expand the main points. ● Include an overview slide. ● Include

recommendations of office applications with new screenshots that haven’t been used in the application assignments. ● Include recommendations of hardware with new screenshots that haven’t been used in the application assignments.. ● Demonstrate how priorities and goals have been set. ● Define the needed variables and deliverables. ● Create a schedule of the project and anticipated completion. ● Identify potential issues and provide an initial risk assessment. You are also required to submit a spreadsheet that lists the application, tools,

components, and proposed costs. For the costs, you should include unit price and total price and grand total costs for both software and hardware, using formula and functions of the spreadsheet application as appropriate. Don’t forget to include a title for your spreadsheet and highlight the headings for each column.
