At the end of the book of Ruth, we are informed that she is the grandmother of King David. 

Imagine a dialogue between grandmother and grandson based on the assigned scriptures and the chapter from the textbook for this module.

What advice might Ruth offer to David about how to live more faithfully in Covenant with God and with others?

Very few of us are as altruistic as Ruth who honors the needs of others even at the expense of her own needs or as cold-blooded as David who uses people for his/her own ends.  Yet all of us have elements of both within us.

Discuss some of the factors that determine whether a person tends towards generosity or extreme selfishness.
