What reason do you feel is likely the number one reason for divorce?

##It is generally understood that the divorce rate hovers around 40-50%. This statistic is actually much more complicated than that. There are

many factors that could contribute to a couples likelihood of getting divorced- age at marriage, social class, religious differences, age differences, not

being the first marriage, education levels, etc (think homogamy). Think about these factors and then also think about what we have learned so far in Chapter 4 (Love), Chapter 8 (Marriage) and now Chapter 14. Thinking about all of these factors- also check out this website that identifies some of

the most common reasons for divorce. https://www.marriage.com/advice/divorce/10-most-common-reasons-for-divorce/ (Links to an external

site.) Do you agree with what this website says? What reason do you feel is likely the number one reason for divorce? Is it on this list or is it

something else discussed in class? Was there anything on this list that surprised you? Is there another reason that contributes to divorce not included on this list?
