Your Final Project is a mini-literature review. Literature Instructions Summarizing,
Evaluating, and Synthesizing Research 5-6 pages for the body, title page (1 page), and references (as many pages as needed) Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
Typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides. Include a title page containing the title of the
assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The title page is not included in the required page length. Include a reference page. Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
Narrative (6-8 pages) Instructions: Review the literature review example and other resources included in the module for this assignment. Instructions For this assignment, you will summarize and synthesize at least 5 research articles that you reviewed for this assignment (attached
below). Use your annotated bibliography and the 5 core articles as a starting point. You must cite at least 10 bodies of work including the 5 core papers in this paper. The publications can be no older than 10 years (date – 2011). Your paper will 5-6 pages excluding the title page, and
reference section, and written in APA style. Your paper should include: provide additional background or supporting evidence for the main article, or highlights a limitation of the main article that leads to your summary/evaluation. Doing this goes beyond just summarizing and works on evaluation and synthesis skills. A brief introduction describing the main theory being tested in the core article and your thesis (how well supported the theory was after synthesizing the core and follow-up articles). A summary of the Core article written in two paragraphs. The first paragraph begins with a topic sentence that describes the main point/purpose of the study (1 – 2 sentences), then summarizes and the main methodology employed to test the hypotheses (~3-5 sentences). The second paragraph summarizes the main results (~2-4 sentences) and the authors’ discussion and conclusions (~2-3 sentences). The conclusion should address the primary purpose or question of the article.
Describe a limitation of the core article that leads to what was done in the follow-up article. Then, summarize the follow-up article as described above The
literature review should include a synthesis. A brief conclusion/discussion that summarizes the “state” of the theory based on the two studies reviewed. End with stating your hypothesis. Reference section Use your APA References and pay special attention to the following aspects of
